Gavin pitched 3 innings of no-hit baseball, including 3 strikeouts. He was going to pitch the 4th inning, but our team scored 13 runs the inning before, so his arm got cold.

Another teammate finished out the 4th inning, giving up a few runs, but it was still good enough for us to mercy rule the Escondido American Rays with a final score of 20 to 2.

Connor made some good plays at 3rd and 2nd base, and got some hits. The Royals won 9 to 2.

Connor got to share his birthday with Mother’s Day this year, just like the day he was born. He opened his presents in the morning, getting a cool microscope and a giant box of baseball cards. He finally pulled a Wander Franco rookie card, which he has been trying to get since the card series came out.

We spent the rest of the day at a Birthday/Mother’s Day party down at Kristel’s house. The boys had a blast swimming with all their cousins and some of Jesse’s side of the family. Towards the end of the day, we sang to Connor and all ate cake.

Connor played his heart out, and made some great plays out in the field. But the Orioles just hit the ball better than the Royals, and ended up winning 12 to 6. Unfortunately, this was the Royals second loss so they are out of the championship tournament.

Gavin and the rest of the 4S Padres team are the 2022 Little League District 31 Juniors champions! It was a hard-fought game, but they ended up victorious against their friends on the other 4S Ranch team, with a final score of 8 to 5.

The boys played a little catch before the ceremonies started. Then we finished off the Little League season with a parade of teams and lots of food.

A 6-year journey has come to an end with Connor promoting from Turtleback Elementary. But a new and exciting adventure will begin at Oak Valley Middle School, after summer.

Connor received the Presidential Academic award for his academic performance and was recognized for his safety patrol service.

He was also awarded a medal for running over 100 miles during the school year. He ran 111 miles total, enough to go from San Diego to downtown LA!

We are so proud of you Connor! We love you!

Surviving a middle school career filled with pandemic chaos, Gavin has been promoted from Oak Valley and is ready to start his next chapter in life at Del Norte High School.

He received a Presidential Academic award for his great grades, and we couldn’t be prouder of how well he performed in a very challenging academic environment.

Congratulations Gavin! We love you!

To celebrate the boys’ promotions, we took them out for a fun day of mini golf, laser tag, and bumper boats.

We watched the Angels forget how to swing the bat after a good start in the first inning. They only got two more hits the rest of the game. They lost, with a final score of 4 to 1.

We stopped and smelled the roses in the giant garden across the street from the Fleet. Then we continued on to the Fleet for a fun afternoon of science.

The top high school and college prospects were at Petco Park to show their stuff to the scouts, and the fans got to go watch. The players were really good at interacting with the kids, and my boys got a lot of autographs.

We had a fun day riding the water slides and floating down the lazy river.
